Tweeter

A tweeter is a speaker transducer (or driver) specialized to handle the highest frequencies ranging from about 2kHz to 20kHz, though many are able to play much higher. These frequencies are also known as the treble and typically where you will hear cymbals in music, glass-breaking in movies and the sibiliant “ts” or “Sss” sounds in dialogue and vocals. Tweeters are usually made of lightweight and rigid materials like aluminum, titanium or beryllium, or even silk and often have a dome or ribbon-shaped design.

SVS Prime and Ultra Series speaker aluminum dome tweeters are transparent and pinpoint accurate. Light, efficient, rigid and impervious to distortion, even at high sound pressure levels, the tweeter’s airy’ presentation and effortlessly unveiled highs are optimized for critical music listening and demanding home theater content. The FEA-optimized diffuser ensures broad dispersion for an incredibly wide and convincing soundstage with pinpoint on- and off-axis frequency response.
